It's been awhile...My life has changed a lot in the past few months. As some of you know, we've been battling tragedy. March 2nd my youngest daughter Kelsy was in a terrible car accident. David and I were travelling in our car right in front of Kelsy's when we saw an SUV vear sideways into Kelsy's lane. Kelsy's car was over a hill and she couldn't see the SUV until just before the hit. They hit "t-bone" style at an estimated 115 mph with the combined speed of both cars. Although they hit Kelsy head on, because of the angle of their car, Kelsy's passenger side took the brunt of the hit. Kelsy's best friend, Jenna was her passenger and died in the accident. We have been devastated to lose Jenna. Kelsy continues to heal and we are now down to counting days until she can get rid of her wheelchair and walker. We concentrate now on dealing with the loss of Jenna. Kelsy and Jenna had an amazing friendship and had plans together years into the future. Her loss leaves a huge void. Currently, we're working on an awesome memorial for Jenna that Jenna would have loved. You can learn more about her memorial by visiting www.higherthanthemountains.com
Thank you for your prayers and support. We notice the blessings along this journey and we count your support among them.

Today I went to Minot to sing at the Farm Credit Women's forum. This was my third time there and I appreciate the invitation to come back. A funny thing happened on the way. While travelling there, I was listening to the Bob and Sheri show on KIZZ and they asked for callers on a certain topic. I called in and got on the radio. I got to plug the event I was singing at today and that was cool. It was neat to share the stage with a friend of mine, Nancy Pearson. Brooke sang with me today. It's been a long time since we got on stage together and it was really nice.

Today I spent the afternoon at the Nazarene Church in Mohall. Thanks to Pastor Jim for your hospitality. It was neat today to sing with not only, Kelsy, but also my sister, Melanie and her daughters, Jackie and Brittany. Thanks for singing with me. Looking forward to coming back.

Today brought me to Newburg for a Valentine's Day event. Thank you to everyone there tonight - especially for putting up with my somewhat hoarse voice. Laryngitis is a singer's enemy, but I'm thankful I had enough tonight to sing for you.
happy day,
Marsha

Tonight, it was back to the Lake for Nights of Christmas. Going to Nights is a tradition for us. Kelsy, Jenna and I enjoyed great meal and a great time. Thanks to Ann and Marsh for joining me on one song. I may be the only one that thinks so, but we've still got it. (grin)

Today, Brooke and I went to Velva to sing at Oak Valley Church following their outdoor Live Nativity. The crowd was great, the weather was great!! I also had a lot of fun connecting with some friends I hadn't seen in over 20 years. I met new people tonight and had a good time visiting with everyone that I could get to. Thank you Velva!!!

Today started as a day I was just not ready to sing, but it ended up being just what I needed to do. My dad and I traveled to Underwood together today. It was the first time just Dad and I went out together. That was neat!! My heart was heavy today when I started out - some friends of ours were helping their son struggle through injuries sustained in a terrible car accident and that was taking over my emotions. But the people of Faith opened up their hearts and arms and took care of me. They also began some powerful prayer for Blake's recovery. Thank you. And thank you for great memories.

I had a terrific time in Ryder, today. Thank you to the Kraft's for inviting me to their church for a fun afternoon. I appreciate the generousity and hospitality of the the people of St. Mark's Church and David and I thank you for a memorable day. The folks of Ryder were gracious enough to adjust their schedule so that David and I could meet up with family to celebrate Kelsy's 17th birthday. Happy Birthday a day late, Kels.

Today, I spent the day at the Hostfest. I love returning every year and seeing friends I sometimes only see at Hostfest. It's great reuniting our Parade of Flags crew and seeing other performers, as well. As of today, David and I have been married 21 years. After I finished singing at Hostfest, David and I went out for supper. Thanks to Brooke running the combine and Kelsy taking care of things at home, we enjoyed a nice evening out.
